История: SAKATAT is trio playing raw as fuck old school grindcore influenced by old NAPALM DEATH, SOB and alikes and is one of the few grindcore bands in the entire Turkish underground history. 2005/2006 | SAKATAT was unintentionally formed in January 2005 when Onur and Semih, being totally bored and wasted, recorded two primitive grindcore tracks at a basement without even rehearsing and put that filthy recording out on a tape which was claimed to be the debut demo entitled "Kisa ve Cig" (means Short and Raw). Somehow, the demo got some good reaction which encouraged the duo to go on. With the same line-up, bunch of other raw grindcore songs were recorded in August 2006 which appeared on the limited split 7" with mighty AGATHOCLES in 2007.
2007 | After turning into a 3-piece in 2007, SAKATAT was ready to play live! After couple of live shows, in September 2007, lots of new songs were recorded with the new line-up and those songs found their way to split 7"s with Canadian ARCHAGATHUS which is pretty much sold out by the time you are reading this.
2008 | In April 2008, bunch of new songs were recorded that appeared on the split 7" with German SLAUGHTER OF THE INNOCENT released. Apparently, those songs, thanks to dual vocals and full contribution of all members to the song-writing (if there is any!?!
, were way more varied when compared to previous recordings. In July 2008, right before the split w/ S.O.T.I. came out, SAKATAT toured Eastern Europe and played at the famous Obscene Extreme Festival in Czech Republic.2009 | 2009 was pretty busy period: after the split 7" with Greek grindcore band CUT YOUR THROAT was recorded, the band went on a 3-week European tour, played 18 shows around Western, central and eastern Europe, performed at festivals such as Mountains Of Death in Switzerland, Play Fast or Don't in Czech Republic and Paranoya Fest in Germany.
2010 | Greece Tour in February 2010 followed the release of the split with C.Y.T. and bunch of new tunes that will appear on the upcoming split 7" with MESRINE were recorded rightafter the tour.
Having toured in Europe twice, recorded bunch of well-received records and performed at prolific festivals all around Europe, SAKATAT is working on the upcoming splits 7" with DISPEPSIAA and making plans for future releases and booking shows for the upcoming Western European tour in Autumn 2010.
