| Sockweb is an American grindcore band from Richmond, Indiana, formed in early 2013. The band is best known for its unusual father-daughter lineup, having been formed by Verata Necti's Adam "Blackula" Young and his then 6 year old daughter, Joanie "Bologna" Young, and for going viral with their song "I Want Pancakes". After the release of Sockweb's first song, "I Want Pancakes", the group became a viral hit in metal circles, with websites such as MetalSucks and eventually reputed UK magazine Rock Sound. After the release of two more songs, "Broken Glass Swan Dive" and "Werewolf" (featuring Spiralmountain's Erik Ebsen), the duo announced that they had signed to Monolithic Records to release their debut album, Werewolf, later in 2013, accompanied by another new song, "Bullies Are Mean". In June 2013, Sockweb released full details of their album. Kat Katz of Agoraphobic Nosebleed, one of Joanie's favorite vocalists, will make a guest appearance on Werewolf,[4] with mastering by Scott Hull, and was set to be released on August 6, 2013; however, this release date was pushed back. A music video for "Werewolf" was released on August 5, 2013. Despite some concerns from the metal community ranging from the novelty factor of the band to health concerns over the strain on Joanie's throat from screaming at such a young age, Adam has made it clear in interviews that he takes great care in making sure that his daughter's vocal chords are not put under too much strain when the band are recording and that he would stop the band if Joanie ever damaged her throat by performing. |

Werewolf is a concept album about a young girl who meets a werewolf when he hides under her bed from a storm, and follows their adventures battling bullies, vampires and witches. Такой уж жанр этот грайндкор, что ему надлежит взрывать мозги и рвать шаблоны, и данный дуэт это еще одно вскрытие покровов - оказывается не всем малолетним лоли подавай только биберов и им подобных, некоторые так и агорафобик носблид могут закатировать 
, тут конечно же все дело в толковом бате, который смог правильно преподнести жанр, превратив все в увлекательную игру. Девочка бесится, визжит в микрофон, подражает Кэт из агорафобиков, пишет все тексты, также в наличии семплы из любимых мультиков 
. Батяня пишет всю музыку, корефанит со Скоттом Халлом, который делает им мастринг и продакшен. Первое что выходило была песенка "I Want Pancakes" я так по наводке G&P заценил, ржал до слез от умиления, было это в самом начале прошлого года, вчера узнал - оказывается появился целый альбом, если же судить по песенке "Bullies Are Mean" проект стал серьезнее, и голос малышки Джоанны изменился и стал больше схож с половозрелой особью. Альбом давался с трудом и мог быть лучше - все из-за сбоя оборудования в августе прошлого года, когда большая часть материала сдохла и пришлось все восстанавливать и перезаписываться, чтобы фанаты долго не ждали выпустили ипиху "Bullies Are Mean" с теми же песнями. Кэт из АНб также приняла участие в последней песни альбома. При прослушивании не мог не проводить параллели с фильмом Kick Ass, известному нашему зрителю как "Пипец", собственно и персонаж, известный, как Убивашка также изображена на ипихе "Bullies Are Mean", что вдвойне круто. Итого: вы можете говорить про вау-эффект, но тем не менее считаю, что 4 пилы релиз стоит (правда не более), и он намного более слушабельный чем многие другие экстравагантные проекты вроде канинус, хэйтбик, инсект гриндер
