Pig Destroyer
Member: 1997 - Present (Guitars)
Scott can be seen as the driving force of Pig Destroyer's sound considering the lack of a bass player. He uses a multiple amplifier setup with rigs set on either side of the stage during live shows, spreading out his sound to fill the void left by the missing bassist. You can hear his distinct sound on Pig Destroyer's most prevalent releases: Phantom Limb, Terrifyer, Prowler in the Yard and 38 Counts of Battery, which includes the Explosions in Ward 6 album remastered and is the complete discography of the band up until 2000. Recordings usually consist of multiple guitar tracks, such as a solo laid over a rhythm track.
Agoraphobic Nosebleed
Member: 1994 - Present
Formed in 1994, Scott has been the only permanent member in Agoraphobic Nosebleed. Their first live performance was in 2003 when Pig Destroyer cut their set short to let ANb play two songs and an intro.
Japanese Torture Comedy Hour
Member: 1996 - Unknown
Formed by Scott Hull and former AC member Tim Morse, with Andrew Kokes doing electronics, Japanese Torture Comedy Hour is, as Scott puts it, a "hybrid of noisecore and power electronics." Audio recordings are hard to come by for JTCH.
2008 - Requiem [Relapse]
Requiem, the first score from veteran sound-designer Scott Hull (Pig Destroyer, Agoraphobic Nosebleed), is a beautiful yet acutely sobering work of profound depth and reach. Requiem explores the pathos of death, the burden of guilt, and the weight of consequence in all their stages. Influenced by Morricone and Popol Vuh and films such as The Shining, Dead Man, Aguirre and more, Requiem further establishes Hull as a modern virtuoso.
2009 - Audiofilm I (Limited 3" CD) [Crucial Blast]
The first of a series of limited-edition 3" CDs that each feature a short, 10+ minute piece of fearsome dark ambient music from Scott. This first part of the Audiofilm Series is a terrifying fug of demonic drone that utilizes delirious stereo panning and slabs of obsidian ambience, and it slowly unfolds over the length of the piece to reveal layers of malevolent black ambience and the terminally creepy voice of a little girl whispering for help, seemingly lost between planes of shadow. The disc is limited to a single pressing of 1,000 copies, packaged in a tiny 4" x 4" glossy gatefold jacket.
